Catnic has pioneered the steel lintel for more than three generations and designs, manufacturers and supplies the construction industry with technically superior products. It boasts a reputation that has been earned through constant technical innovation and leading the UK lintel market.

Catnic was the first:

• To develop the steel lintel in the UK, the first to gain BBA approval.
• The first manufacturer to employ the revolutionary two-part corrosion protection system on its lintel as a standard offering.
• To gain both BBA approval and the coveted Kitemark to BS 5977.
• To incorporate a a built in Damp Proof Course into its lintels
• To provide a built-in plaster key.

The lintels are made from zinc coated steel and are then coated in a polyester powder, which gives them their black appearance - and makes them instantly recognisable as a Catnic lintel.

In addition to its standard range, Catnic also manufactures a huge range of 'feature' lintels as part of its bespoke design service.

Far from just leading, Catnic has worked over the years with the BSI to establish the standards for lintels in the UK, and continues to develop and invest in improving on these standards with its extensive range of products and unique features
